Sgt. T.N. Mooney with K-9: Sampson
sampson.jpg

In early March 2009, the FCSD tragically suffered the loss of one of its beloved K-9s.  Sampson, a dual purpose explosives and tracking dog, passed away suddenly from medical complications.  He is terribly missed amoung his handler, co-workers, and the individuals he touched the lives of.  Sampson was at the apex of his abilities in his career, and was responsible for the conviction of serious firearms and explosives crimes, as well as located numerous subjects who have fled from other serious offenses.  He performed demonstrations for children, and also located several lost persons in the region.  He was a member of our family, agency and community, and can never be replaced.
